Camden COPD and Home Oxygen Team - Band 6 Pulmonary Rehabilitation Physiotherapist
Are you an innovative, organised and motivated physiotherapist with a strong interest in community respiratory care? Would you like to work within a compassionate, inclusive and supportive team that values collaboration and continuous learning? We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 physiotherapist to join our specialist community respiratory service.
A strong interest in pulmonary rehabilitation and a commitment to person-centred, evidence-based care are essential, with a focus on improving quality of life and supporting people living with respiratory disease to remain as well and independent as possible in the community.
The successful candidate will be an experienced clinician with the ability to motivate and inspire others, working with professionalism, integrity and respect. You will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients and carers, while contributing positively to service development and upholding the values of the service and Trust.
The Community Respiratory Service provides high-quality, specialist care for people living with COPD in Camden. The service includes pulmonary rehabilitation, admission avoidance, supported discharge, chronic disease management, respiratory clinics and a comprehensive home oxygen service.
Care is delivered across a range of community settings, however will mostly commonly occur within the patients home and at Peckwater Health Centre. Working in the community requires a high level of clinical expertise to assess and manage risk safely while delivering effective, person-centred care.
The post holder will primarily support the delivery of pulmonary rehabilitation in Camden with assistance from a Band 4 team member and will be supported by the PR lead, a Band 7 clinician. We weekday service between 09:00 and 17:00, we do not work weekends or bank holidays.
This role offers strong professional support and development opportunities. The post holder will receive regular supervision, peer support and an annual appraisal from their line manager. Ongoing training and updates are provided, alongside opportunities to develop clinical skills, expand the role within the service, and contribute to service improvement.
There will also be opportunities to support physiotherapy student placements, supervise junior colleagues, contribute to audits and research, and work closely with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care.
Join our service and Trust at the forefront of innovation, actively supporting the development of Neighbourhoods in line with the NHS Health Plan for England. This work redesigns care to better meet local population needs by bringing services closer to people’s homes. The Neighbourhood model enables multidisciplinary teams across health, social care and voluntary services to work together in an integrated way, improving shared decision-making, coordination and continuity of care without requiring co-location. This collaborative approach supports more holistic, proactive and person-centred care within the community.
