Personal Assistant (PA) Required Folkestone
I am looking for a Personal Assistant (PA) to support my 11-year-old autistic son, Sebastian, based
in Folkestone.
Main priority:
Support at Scouts on Thursday evenings (7:008:30pm), plus travel time either side (Holy Trinity
Church). This will account for around 1.52 hours of the weekly hours. A DBS check for Scouts and
one for Direct Payments will be required.
Hours:
4 hours per week (term time)
8 hours per week (school holidays)
Paid via Direct Payments (including holiday pay).
Any accrued or flexible hours are usually used for community-based activities such as trips to the
zoo, woods walks, and other outings that support independence and social skills. Some of these hours
are also used for holiday clubs, including those accessed through the Free School Meals scheme
or other suitable holiday provision.
About Sebastian:
Seb is a cheeky, loving, and curious child who enjoys Lego, numbers, building, and being active. He
requires constant supervision, has no danger awareness, and is a flight risk. He may experience
moments of dysregulation and benefits from gentle encouragement to join in activities, particularly in
group settings such as Scouts.
About you:
Calm, reliable, and patient
Experience with SEN preferred but not essential
Safety-aware and able to provide consistent supervision
Driving licence preferred but not essential
