Manchester's Family Hub Programme brings together services for families with children of all ages (0-19) or up to 25 with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), at the core of the offer is an enhanced Start for Life offer which provides support to parents and carers from a child conception until their second birthday.

About The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Family Hub Locality Manager to lead the delivery of integrated services for children, young people, and families across Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and develop family support within our local communities, ensuring that every child has the best start in life.

The successful candidate will manage complex service delivery across multiple sites and deliver community-based services to children, young people and their families to ensure they have access to early support at the right time in the place where they live. This will include delivery across all aspects of the Best Start for Life Healthy Babies Programme, with specific focus on the early language, parenting support and the school readiness agenda.

As a Locality Manager, you will oversee the coordination and implementation of Family Hub services, working closely with partners across health, education, and social care. You will drive innovation, champion early help, and ensure that services are accessible, inclusive, and responsive to local needs aligned with the requirements of the Families First Partnership Programme and the Best Start for Life Strategy to deliver positive outcomes for the most vulnerable children in the city.

For an informal discussion, please contact the hiring manager, Nicola Bailey, at nicola.bailey@manchester.gov.uk to arrange a convenient time to discuss the role.

About the Candidate:
We would love to hear from you if you have experience of:

Advanced and specialised knowledge of the Best Start for Life, Family Hub and Start Well Strategies and how these define our approach to supporting our youngest children and their families in Manchester.

A minimum of 3 years' experience in managing the delivery of early years and family services using evidence-based interventions on a one to one and/or group basis.

An understanding of the Family Hub Programme and DfE delivery requirements, with knowledge of the development of co-produced, co-located service provision within communities.
