Pay: Salary: £12.21 rising to £12.27 after 2 successful weeks training / £13.68 rising to £13.75 after 2 successful weeks training (PAYE / PAYE AUTO) (rising to £12.56 after 12 weeks)

ARC Recruitment are recruiting Production Operatives for a cutting-edge vertical farming facility in Easton, Norwich. This innovative site grows fresh herbs and salads indoors all year round.

This is a great opportunity for ongoing work with the chance of a permanent contract after 12 weeks.

Immediate starts available.

Shift Details

• Initial hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:00
• Future shift pattern: 4 on / 4 off, 06:00 – 18:00
• Pay rate: £12.21 rising to £12.27 after 2 successful weeks training / £13.68 rising to £13.75 after 2 successful weeks training (PAYE / PAYE AUTO)
• £12.56 per hour after 12 weeks
• Contract: Temp to Perm after 12 weeks

Key Responsibilities

As a Production Operative, your duties will include:

• Placing wet mats into aluminium trays
• Accurately seeding mats
• Trimming and sizing products to customer specifications
• Manual weighing and bulk packing of produce
• Packing finished goods ready for distribution
• Preparing production lines for daily operations
• Carrying out hygiene duties including cleaning, mopping, and general tidying

Working Conditions & PPE

• General working area temperature: 18°C
• Packing room temperature: 8°C (suitable clothing recommended)
• Full PPE provided, including:

• Overalls
• Hairnet
• Wellington boots


• Additional PPE such as face masks and safety glasses required in some areas

Candidate Requirements

• Previous food production or manufacturing experience preferred
• Comfortable working in cooler environments
• Reliable, hardworking, and team-focused
• Able to adapt to the 4 on / 4 off shift pattern after training
• Own transport essential due to rural location and shift times
