Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families?
We are looking for a dedicated Home School Link Worker to join our team at Bishopswood School. This is a rewarding role where you will work collaboratively with families, children, and schools to provide early intervention, guidance, and support that improves outcomes for pupils.
Bishopswood School is a specialist special educational needs (SEN) school for pupils aged 416 with SLD, PMLD and autism (ASD). Our school is warm, ambitious and highly resourced, offering a supportive, therapeutic environment where staff are encouraged to grow and make a real impact.

About the Role
- Build positive relationships with families to empower them in supporting their children.
- Provide practical and emotional support to improve school attendance and well-being.
- Act as a link between families, schools, and external agencies.
- Lead Early Help Assessments and attend multi-agency meetings.
- Deliver parent workshops and training sessions on topics such as autism awareness and communication strategies.
What We're Looking For
- GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4-9 or equivalent).
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (desirable).
- Driving licence (essential).
- Working with children and families, ideally in a school or special educational setting.
- Supporting pupils with additional needs (SEMH, ASC, SLD, PMLD).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and proactively.
- Strong IT skills and understanding of safeguarding procedures.
