Crynodeb
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Senior Commissioning Manager in the Commissioning and Partnerships Team. The role will have strategic responsibility for the oversight and development of commissioned services for children with Specialist Educational Needs and Disabilities. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across health, education and social care to ensure sufficient and high quality commissioned services for children and young people across the city. You will lead the Local Offer Partnership, engaging partners to develop our Local Offer.
You will lead a small team of commissioning and partnership colleagues, providing strong and supportive line management.
You will have a strong background in commissioning/ or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, ideally having subject knowledge and experience in both.
You will have experience of line managing a small team, and working with HR in supporting colleagues as required.
You will have experience of working at a strategic level, including communicating with Elected Members, Directors and Senior Managers across a wide range of services.

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £49.50. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £12.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £49.50.
