New Bridge Multi-Academy Trust is a vibrant, aspirational and inclusive multi-academy trust of eight special schools and two specialist post-16 provisions across Oldham, Tameside and Rochdale. As part of the wider New Bridge Group there are also two post-19 provisions. Our settings support a wide spectrum of needs from age 4-19 and beyond. The Trust is proud to be national leaders in Special Education and has a culture of creating outstanding opportunities for all. We are at an exciting point in our development, and this role will be crucial in shaping the estates strategy of the Trust as we continue to grow.
We are now looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and values-driven Head of Estates to lead and deliver a Trust-wide estates and facilities service across our MAT. This is a pivotal role that will support our mission to deliver high-quality education and improve outcomes for all young people across our schools. Working in close partnership with our COO, the post holder will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive estates and facilities strategy, ensuring that all environments are safe, compliant, inclusive and fully enabling for our children and young people with SEND.
We invite applications from individuals with substantial experience of estates leadership, ideally already in the education or public sector.
The successful candidate will:
- Play a key strategic role in developing and delivering a Trust-wide Estates and Facilities Strategy aligned to the MAT’s vision and long-term goals
- Be responsible for the overall management and operation of the Trust's Estates Team, modelling the MAT’s values, ethical leadership and commitment to safeguarding
- Lead capital planning, lifecycle maintenance and Condition Data Collection programmes
- Ensure full compliance with all estates-related statutory and regulatory requirements, including fire safety, asbestos, water safety, electrical and gas safety
- Act as the Trust’s competent person for estates-related health and safety, working alongside central Health and Safety colleagues
- Lead the Trust’s sustainability and decarbonisation agenda in line with DfE expectations
We can offer you:
- A supportive and values-led culture
- Opportunity to make a real impact across a growing trust
- Flexible working arrangements, including options for hybrid working
- Generous annual leave and pension scheme
- High quality continuing professional development (CPD) through our dedicated Everyone Learning Team
- Hospital Saturday Fund Health Cash Plan, with discount platform and access to Perk Box
- Trust TOIL Scheme for all staff
- The opportunity to be part of our thriving team, who are committed to creating meaningful futures for both our students and staff
New Bridge MAT is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must have a commitment to safeguarding young people. This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and references will be sought prior to interview. For all shortlisted candidates, an online search will also be carried out as part of our due diligence in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025.
We strive to create a fair and inclusive workplace that is as diverse as the communities we serve. We positively welcome applications from all candidates regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation.
