Job Introduction

Make every hour matter - We’re looking for someone who enjoys turning data into real‑world results. As our Resource & Optimisation Manager, you’ll make sure our stores have the right people, in the right place, at the right time — supporting colleagues and delivering the service our customers expect.

You’ll lead workforce management across our retail operation, ensuring hours are allocated smartly, forecasts are reliable, and our labour model works for both customers and colleagues. You’ll bring together data, forecasting tools, and optimisation thinking to strike the right balance between service, cost, and productivity. In short, you’ll help our stores run smoothly without compromising the experience we deliver.

This is a hybrid role, with 2–3 days each week spent at our Wakefield head office.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll shape how we plan and manage labour across all stores, keeping our workforce strategy aligned with customer needs, colleague experience, and commercial goals. You’ll maintain a fair and accurate labour model, oversee hours allocation and forecasting, and work closely with Finance and Commercial teams to stay in step with trading priorities.

You’ll strengthen our forecasting and optimisation processes, using data to predict demand, deploy hours effectively, and spot risks early so stores stay on track. You’ll also make sure stores are ready for what’s ahead by partnering with teams across the business to resource new initiatives properly and keep our workforce systems simple and reliable. Senior leaders will look to you for clear insight into how workforce decisions impact performance.

As a leader, you’ll support and develop the Resource Optimisation team, building a collaborative, high‑performing culture. And throughout, you’ll look for smarter, simpler ways of working — refining models, improving accuracy, and driving efficiency.

What we’re looking for

  • Workforce planning or forecasting experience in multi‑site retail
  • Confident team leadership and data‑driven decision‑making
  • Strong planning, analytical skills, and clear communication
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • A commercial mindset that balances cost with service
  • Detail‑focused, collaborative, and always looking to improve

Come and make a real difference — your next chapter starts here as our Resource & Optimisation Manager.
