Crynodeb
The post holder will work as part of the Occupational Health team of St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to provide high quality occupational health service for its’ clients. Part of those activities include promoting the health of the employees and safeguarding their health from risks arising from their work environment. Carrying out management referrals, pre-placement screening, health surveillance screening, performing phlebotomy and delivery of vaccinations as required
Clinical Role
Plan and carry out initial assessment for a range of clients using an evidence-based client centered approach to practice.
Undertake a range of routine occupational health assessment tasks and collecting, recording, and storing data accurately
Undertake workplace risk assessments plan and manage work related health problems including making decisions around adjustment and fitness to work.
Undertake a range of health activities that seek to protect the health of our staff such as skin checks, spirometry, phlebotomy, skin checks, immunisations and other tasks as required.
Undertake health screening and assessment of fitness to work with recommendations for adjustments in accordance with department/Trust/national guidance and legislation including Equality act. Assess the need for further information from other clinicians and specialists and the need for vaccinations and blood tests prior to commencement of employment in accordance with national guidance.

1. Always acting as a role model
2. Report all serious untoward clinical incidents in the appropriate manner to the senior occupational health nurse adviser. Facilitate any investigation and implement remedial action in the clinical area.
3. To participate in and encourage team involvement in Clinical Governance and Risk Management initiatives.
4. Always ensure confidentiality of all client information.
5. Be aware of and adhere to all the relevant Trust Policies and Guideline
