We're looking for an organised, proactive Transport co-ordinator to take ownership of the day‑to‑day transport operation. You'll ensure all customer KPIs are achieved, vehicles remain compliant, and drivers are supported and productive throughout each shift.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute and monitor the daily transport plan, ensuring on‑time delivery and resolving issues quickly.
- Track vehicle and driver progress, escalating risks and communicating with customer services.
- Manage driver performance, hours, and compliance with legal and company standards.
- Coordinate outbound/inbound traffic to maintain safe, efficient yard operations.
- Handle defects, incidents, and rejected/damaged orders, ensuring timely reporting.
- Provide clear shift handovers and maintain accurate system transactions (GTS).
- Liaise with drivers, planners, hauliers, and customer service teams to keep operations running smoothly
- Strong communicator, confident in working with drivers and internal teams
- Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to use own initiative and stay calm under pressure
- Previous experience in similar field is required
The working hours are on a weekly rotation as follows:
- Week 1: 06:00-15:00
- Week 2: 10:00-19:00
Higher pay rates are achieved by working overtime.
An immediate start is available after successful interview and could lead to permanent after a successful qualifying period.
