Summary
Senior Quantity Surveyor | Camberley Hub Office
We are recruiting an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team based at the Camberley Hub Office. This is a key commercial role with responsibility across the full project lifecycle, from pre-contract through to final account.
Location: Camberley (Hub Office)
Hours: 45 per week
Working Hours: 8:00am – 5:30pm (30-minute break)
Role Overview
You will lead on commercial management, ensuring contractual, financial, and risk elements are effectively controlled and reported. Working closely with Project Directors, Project Managers, and client commercial teams, you will help deliver accurate, compliant, and commercially sound project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Issue accurate, timely, and contract-compliant commercial notices and correspondence
Identify and report commercial risks and opportunities
Maintain registers for variations, delays, extensions of time, and claims
Support monthly valuations and applications for payment
Liaise with client and employer commercial teams
Assist with pre-contract tender negotiations and commercial reporting
Produce monthly cost reports, forecasts, and contract budgets
Support value engineering, risk management, and change control
Prepare, review, and manage subcontract documentation
Manage subcontractors from order placement through to final account
Agree interim payments and final accounts with subcontractors
Monitor procurement plans and subcontract awards
Reconcile plant, labour, and material costs against budget
Support main contract administration, change reports, and value change documentation
Requirements
RICS or ICE membership (or working towards)
Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
Proven commercial experience within construction or infrastructure
Strong knowledge of contracts, cost control, and commercial reporting
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
