Thera East are recruiting for an Operational Manager. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join an outstanding charity and senior management team. The Successful Candidate will be responsible for leading and managing Support Managers and the teams they oversee who are providing support to people with Learning disabilities. The role will involve working as part of the Senior management team, as part of a team of four Operational Managers, maintaining outstanding quality of support and being part of developing further opportunities to provide support for more people.

Due to this role being for 12 Months, you will not be required to be a Registered Manager with the Care Quality Commission.

Thera East, part of the Thera Group of companies, is a registered charity which supports 172 people with a learning disability in their own home and in their local community across Essex and Suffolk, employing over 452 staff.

Experience and Personal Qualities required to become an Operational Manager with Thera East?

To be an Operational Manager you will need to have previous experience in providing supported living for people with a Learning Disability and complex needs in a management role, as well as knowledge of the CQC regulatory framework, ensuring yourself and the team complies with the relevant Care Quality Commission Essential Standards.

You will need to be enthusiastic, have great communication skills and an eye for detail. Adapting personal style to suit the situation and needs of others, you will use emotional intelligence to develop your teams. You will build positive and reciprocal relationships that benefit The Camden Society and the people we support.

You’ll need to be computer literate and competent in use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Be able to record and report on data keeping accurate and up to date records. You must be passionate about ensuring people with learning disabilities live a great life and are supported to have choice and control.

You will take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work, manage your time, prioritise work effectively, and remain focused when faced with competing demands with a flexible approach to working hours. You must also be able to evaluate and manage the compliance of quality assurance systems including audits and reviews whilst taking pride in delivering high-quality customer service.
