We are a recruitment agency working on behalf of a well-established care provider in Lowestoft, Suffolk, recruiting for an experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join a 22-bed residential care setting supporting adults with learning disabilities. The service includes self-contained flats on site and offers person-centred, high-quality care.

This is a temporary to permanent role, with the opportunity to transfer onto a permanent contract with the home after 12 weeks, subject to performance (similar to a probationary period). During the temporary period, you will be paid weekly by the agency and must complete full agency registration, as required by the care setting.

*Available Roles*

1 x Day Senior Healthcare Assistant

1 x Night Senior Healthcare Assistant

*Shift Times*

Nights: 21:30 – 07:30

Days: Mixed shifts including: 07:00 – 18:00 | 16:00 – 22:00

*Key Responsibilities*

1. Assisting with the running of shifts as a senior member of staff

2. Managing and delegating tasks to a team of care assistants

3. Providing hands-on care and support to adults with learning disabilities

4. Administering medication in line with policies and procedures

5. Completing administrative tasks and documentation

6. Ensuring care plans are up to date and accurately followed

7. Supporting management with the day-to-day running of the home

8. Maintaining high standards of care, safety, and professionalism

*Essential Requirements*

1. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)

2. Minimum 6 months’ experience working in a Senior (or higher) role within the UK care sector

3. Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities

4. Confident leading shifts and supervising staff

5. Excellent communication and organisational skills
