Waste Operatives (Loaders)

Industry: Environmental (Waste Collection and Recycling)

Location: Isle of Wight

Hours: 40 hours per week, starting at 6.30am. plus overtime when required

Days: Monday - Friday, weekend working may be required for overtime.

Duration: temporary immediate start, temp to perm for the right candidates

Duties:

Working a part of a small team to set schedules.

Assisting Driver’s with banksman duties.

Collecting and unloading domestic waste and recycling bins, including manual handling.

Adherence to health and safety and quality standards.

Experience:

Must be reliable, able to work well as part of a team and be willing to work outside in all weathers.

Must be physically fit, due to the nature of duties and able to walk 5 – 10 miles per day.

Must have a good awareness of health and safety.

Own transport is recommended due to the location.

Salary: £12.60 per hour worked, overtime paid at 1.33 weekdays, 1.5 weekends
