About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead Cwrt Mytton Care Home, a specialist dementia care service in Blaenau Gwent. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a centre of excellence for dementia care, ensuring compliance with the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 and delivering high-quality, person-centred support.

As Registered Manager, you will:

• Ensure the home meets regulatory standards and delivers safe, high-quality dementia care.
• Develop and implement policies, systems, and procedures to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead and inspire a dedicated team, overseeing recruitment, retention, training, and career development.
• Promote innovative dementia care models, including reablement pathways and assistive technologies to enhance independence.
• Manage operational practices, including staffing rotas, health and safety, infection control, and safeguarding.
• Monitor and control budgets and resources effectively.
• Build strong partnerships with health professionals, families, and the local community to support integrated care.
• Represent Cwrt Mytton in strategic planning and contribute to the wider Adult Services vision.

What We’re Looking For

• NVQ/QCF Level 4 in Care or equivalent management qualification.
• Registration with Social Care Wales.
• Proven experience in managing a regulated health or social care setting, ideally dementia care.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable

• Experience of managing a dementia care home or similar specialist service.
• Knowledge of assistive technologies and innovative dementia care models.
• Welsh language skills (training available).

Additional Information

• Enhanced DBS required.
• Access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.
• Welsh language skills Level 0 required (training available).
