I’m currently working with a well-established and rapidly growing civils and groundworks subcontractor based in Wisbech, who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support their expanding workload.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that has built an excellent reputation in the region and continues to win repeat work across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
The Role:
You’ll be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of multiple civils and groundworks projects, working closely with the delivery teams and directors.
Key responsibilities will include:

Full commercial management of projects from tender through to final account

Preparing and submitting valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts

Cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

Managing subcontractor packages and accounts

Assessing variations, change control, and cost recovery

Supporting procurement and tendering where required

Working closely with site and operational teams to maximise margins
What They’re Looking For:
-
Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civils and/or groundworks is essential

Strong understanding of subcontractor environments
-
Good commercial awareness and contractual knowledge
-
Confident communicator, able to work closely with both site and senior management
-
Well organised, proactive, and commercially minded
