Summary

About the role:
We are looking for an Administrative Officer to provide administration support within our Leisure & Technical Services teams – with particular focus on the Cemeteries Service. The role will deal with the general administrative duties associated with the Cemeteries team including taking bookings for internments, liaising between funeral directors and Council’s contractors, ensuring the receipt and completion of all the appropriate documentation and subsequent records, ensuring collection of fees and assisting with general enquires and allocation of service requests.

This is a part time role working 27.5 hours per week spread over 5 days Monday to Friday on a permanent basis. Hybrid working will apply to this role.

About You:
You will be a motivated individual who is able to work on your own initiative and organise a busy workload with a positive and flexible attitude.

You should have an excellent understanding of Word and Excel. Knowledge of Epilog or other burial service software, Uniform and Agresso would be an advantage, although training can be provided.

The successful candidate will have strong customer care and communication skills, and analytical skills as the position will include answering calls and/or face to face contact with members of the public, Councillors and colleagues at all levels.
