* Senior Project QS - Tier One Contractor - Defence projects £25m-£250m - Suffolk *
I have an urgent requirement for a Senior Project Quantity Surveyor for one of my long-standing Tier One main contractor clients on a Defence framework in the Suffolk area.
Projects will range from c.£25m to c.£250m and on the NEC contract, so strong NEC contract knowledge is essential.
Experience within the Defence sector is preferable, though not essential, as the client will also consider experience across other sectors eg Commercial, Residential, Heathcare, Education, Prisons etc.
The role reports into the Senior Commercial Manager and involves managing subcontractor packages on each project, from preconstruction / procurement all the way through the process including variations, valuations, cost reporting, payments and final accounts etc.
The successful candidate will be able to deal both upstream with the client and downstream with subcontractors/supply chain, as well as with site teams.
The role will primarily be site-based in and around the Suffolk area with some flexibility re hybrid working.
The client is a International Tier One contractor with a first-class reputation for project delivery and being a top employer who looks after their staff, with progression and promotion opportunities.
