We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Enhanced Clinical Fellow to join our team in Trauma & Orthopaedics and contribute to the delivery of high‑quality patient care.
In this role, you will work closely with a designated Consultant and clinical team, supporting the management of patients within the department. You will provide day‑to‑day clinical support to ST1/2 doctors and Foundation Year 1 doctors, while benefiting from regular supervision, guidance, and training from senior Consultant staff.
This post offers an excellent opportunity to develop clinical skills, gain experience in a supportive environment.
• Provide clinical care to acute patients under the supervision and guidance of senior medical staff, including supporting Consultants during outpatient clinics and theatre sessions.
• Contribute to the education and development of the wider clinical team by delivering teaching sessions to nursing staff and undergraduate medical students.
• Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement projects, and research activities as directed by the clinical team.
• Undertake duties in occasional emergency or unforeseen situations at the request of the appropriate Consultant, working collaboratively with both senior and junior colleagues to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Work predominantly between 08:00 and 17:00, with participation in anon‑call rotaconsisting of long‑day and night shifts. Average weekly working hours will remain within the 48‑hour limit in accordance with Working Time Regulations.

• Attend daily Trauma Meetings as part of the multidisciplinary team.
• Complete dailyward rounds, ensuring timely review and management of patients.
• Assist with Trauma theatre lists andFracture Clinics, supporting senior medical staff in the delivery of high‑quality patient care.
• Work alongside Consultants in elective clinics and elective theatre sessions, contributing to patient assessment, treatment planning, and peri‑operative care.
• Participate in regular teaching rounds, clinical meetings, and educational activities held within the Postgraduate Education Centre.
