A fantastic opportunity has arisen to apply for a role as a highly specialised pharmacist across general medicine at Oxford Road Campus. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to take on this role. This varied and challenging position presents a great opportunity to make a real difference to patient care, demonstrate your ability to innovate and implement change, and lead, support and progress the pharmacy services across general medicine.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the general medicine service and wards teams, as well as the wider Pharmacy team across MFT.
The individual will work across the division supporting the development of both the service, and the junior pharmacists who provide day to day clinical services to the area. The post holder will develop and deliver excellent pharmaceutical services to patients with a wide range of often complex medical problems, communicating with a diverse population of patients and carers.
You will participate in ward rounds, provide expert medicines advice to staff and patients, review medication incidents and develop clinical guidelines. You will perform a pivotal role in the provision of education and training to the multi-disciplinary team and ensure key governance priorities are met. You will also play a vital role in the coordination of the ongoing education and training program for pharmacists, trainee pharmacists and technicians within the team.
You will have the opportunity to use our digital technology to improve the way we work for our patients and colleagues.
