Crynodeb
The ESPA service in Forest Hall currently provides support for four young men, all with autism and complex support needs. We are seeking to recruit a Senior Support Worker to join the Senior Team. The individual must be able to contribute to all aspects of the service and may be required to deputise for the Manager and Assistant Manager in their absence.
We anticipate that duties will involve:
• Using Quality Assurance Systems (such as medication / Health & Safety audits)
• Contributing to care plans, risk assessments, and PBS plans
• Administrative tasks including petty cash and paperwork systems
• Health and Safety responsibilities
• Forming part of a senior on call system
• Support and lead less experienced members of the team
It is essential that the successful candidate would
• Work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care
• Have a mature and compassionate attitude
• Be an excellent role model
• Demonstrate at interview a thorough understanding of autism
• Be flexible regarding shift patterns and responsibilities
• Have good organisational and time management skills
• Be able to communicate effectively with families and other professionals
• Demonstrate a positive and person-centred approach to supporting individuals
• Have a good knowledge of ESPA Policies and Procedures
• Have an understanding of positive behavioural approaches
• Demonstrate or develop knowledge of the role of CQC
• Have knowledge of internal and external safeguarding procedures
