Location: Maidstone
Contract Type: Freelance 2 Months
Start Date: 2nd Feb
Salary/Rate: £270 - 300 per shift
We are seeking an Experienced Site Manager to oversee a specialist project involving roof replacement and asbestos removal. This is a crucial position requiring a proactive leader with a strong understanding of construction safety, coordination of subcontractors, and the ability to maintain strict compliance with health and safety regulations.
You will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage all on-site activities for the roof replacement and asbestos removal works
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure smooth workflow
• Ensure full compliance with H&S regulations and company procedures
• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and site audits
• Maintain accurate site records, reports, and progress updates
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and project teams
• Oversee site logistics, quality control, and programme management
To be considered for this position, you must hold the following certifications:
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
• First Aid at Work
• Asbestos Awareness Certificate
• PASMA Ticket
Experience required:
• Proven experience managing roof replacement projects
• Prior involvement in asbestos-related works
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain site discipline
• Solid understanding of CDM regulations and safety-critical environments
• A well-supported role within a respected construction business
