The Governors and Senior Leaders are seeking to appoint a practical, enthusiastic and flexible Premises Assistant to work alongside and to take direction from the Facilities Manager. The person will have a busy and important role supporting the school within all areas of maintenance, cleanliness, health and safety and security.


We are looking for a hardworking, committed and totally trustworthy individual to take on this busy and important role on a permanent basis working 25 hours a week (with a possibility of 30 hours) over 5 days on a whole year basis with the ability to cover staff holidays and to do extra hours as and when required.


In this role, you will:

· Help keep the school secure, including locking and unlocking buildings

· Assist with general maintenance, minor repairs, and upkeep of the site

· Support health and safety procedures

· Operate building systems such as heating, lighting, alarms, and CCTV

· Help with moving furniture and equipment, waste collection, and cleaning of designated areas

· Receive deliveries and support school lettings

· Act as a key holder and assist with emergency access when needed

· Work with contractors and support health and safety testing and checks



This post is exempt under the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 All appointments will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Criminal Records Bureau before the appointment is confirmed. The disclosure will include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings, as well as convictions. Please note, references will be sought and an online social media check completed for all shortlisted candidates prior to interview.
