Hays are delighted to be working with a warm, welcoming and forward‑thinking primary school located in Coventry. The school is known for its strong sense of community, inclusive ethos and commitment to helping every child thrive academically, socially and emotionally. The school is now looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3/4 teacher to join them on a part‑time basis (Monday-Wednesday) for maternity cover starting at the beginning of February. This role will continue for the remainder of the academic year and will involve full teaching responsibilities as part of a job share.



Your new role

  • Planning, preparing and delivering engaging and well‑structured lessons for a mixed Year 3/4 class, ensuring pupils remain motivated and challenged.
  • Working closely with the job‑share partner to ensure continuity, consistency and high‑quality learning experiences across the week.
  • Following the school's curriculum and adapting teaching to meet the needs of learners across lower KS2, including those requiring additional support.
  • Assessing pupil progress, maintaining accurate records and providing constructive feedback to support ongoing development.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school and demonstrating flexibility, professionalism and a commitment to the school's values.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching within primary settings, ideally KS2.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Confident curriculum knowledge and the ability to deliver high‑quality teaching.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
