The School:
St. Augustine's is a small, beautifully presented school with a strong sense of community, set in spacious grounds. We have strong links with the parish, the pre-school and the community - everyone is welcome into the St Augustine's family.At St. Augustine's we are very proud of our children and their achievements, and our staff, governors and parents are all committed to ensuring that all our children are inspired and nurtured to succeed to their full potential. The Role:
We are looking to recruit a confident, enthusiastic and committed individual who has patience, flexibility and an interest in working with a current Year 4 child with speech, language and communication needs. This includes supporting SEN children for 30 minutes every lunchtime. We are looking for a candidate who:Can work in close partnership with the class teacher.Can plan and deliver a range of interventions.Can act upon advice from outside agencies.Can be proactive in seeking solutions and promote inclusion.Has knowledge and experience of working with SEND children in a primary setting.
Pay and Contract:
The role is paid at Hay 10, NJC scale point 8 to 1 or £25,992 to £27,269 per annum pro-rata.The role is term time only and is paid for 44.65 weeks per year, and for 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The actual FTE is therefore 0.75. The contract is offered on a fixed term basis with an initial end date of 31st August 2026, subject to the child remaining in the school and the funding continuing.The start date for the role is as soon as possible, once all relevant checks have been completed.
