Summary
Location: Ash Green, Aldershot
Hours: 4 hours on a Saturday morning (plus an extra 4 hours on another day during school holidays – 13 weeks per year).
Pay: £13.85 per hour
We are a warm and welcoming family looking for a kind, reliable Personal Assistant to support our son, Dominic, on Saturday mornings for 4 hours each week and an extra 4 hours on another day (flexible) during school holidays.
No previous care experience is required — just patience, energy, and a genuine wish to make a positive difference.
About Dominic
Dominic is a bright, active 5-year-old who loves getting out and about. He enjoys doing his regular activities, and spending time outdoors. He can be a flight risk when out, so we are looking for someone who is vigilant and confident supporting him safely.
Your role
You’ll be supporting Dominic with:
1. Trips out and his favourite activities
2. Keeping him safe when outdoors
3. Toileting support
4. Encouragement, reassurance, and building a positive routine
5. Playing an active part in family life when you're here
A car and the ability to drive are essential, as Dominic needs transport for activities and for safe supervision.
About us
We’re hoping to welcome someone into our lives who can build a trusting, positive relationship with Dominic. We also have a four-month-old puppy, Dash — he’s very calm and friendly — so you’ll need to be comfortable around dogs.
Who we’re looking for
Someone who is:
1. Patient, reliable and calm
2. Friendly, enthusiastic, and able to engage with Dominic
3. Confident keeping a child safe when out in the community
4. Happy to learn and follow our routines
No previous care experience is necessary — full guidance will be given.
This position is funded by social care services.
