About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and organised individual to join our team as a Legal Assistant.
Working in a fast paced, busy team your role will be to have conduct of pre-litigated matters. In addition, you will be required to support Solicitors in the team with non-litigated and litigated work.
This work includes obtaining documents, research, complying with pre-action disclosure obligations, analysing evidence, assessing liability & quantum, drafting, providing internal advice, contact with the Court and external solicitors where appropriate.
In addition, you might be required to attend Court hearings with Solicitors or Counsel.
An organised & efficient approach to the role is essential for this role due to the requirement to work to deadlines.
You will be provided with appropriate supervision and support by experienced Solicitors within the team.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
· Able to work well as part of a team
· Able to research unfamiliar areas of work
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Able to manage and prioritise multiple matters
