Crynodeb

Lead the development of standards of practice taking into consideration evidence-based practice, education, training, and audit. Lead and develop standards of care and established protocols and supports strategies for the delivery of the lung health checks and management of patients in the pathway. Identify and develop policies and protocols across the programme in relation to delivery of lung health checks. Leads and supports staff in the investigation of complaints (formal and informal) and serious incidents requiring investigation. Develop and maintain relationships with leading organisations relevant to the delivery of the work stream. Arrange clinical supervision sessions as appropriate for staff To be responsible for the collection of such statistics/records as are required nationally and departmentally and to ensure that confidentiality is maintained. Understand the processes involved in evidence based care and have knowledge of where to obtain evidence. Work collaboratively with the professional agencies to ensure patient needs are met. Establish and maintain effective communication with patients, carers/relatives and multi-disciplinary teams Observe the provisions of and adhere to all Trust policies and procedures. Actively participate in the annual performance review to identify personal development needs. All employees are individually responsible for the prevention and control of infection within their own area. The employee must attend Infection Control Induction training and mandatory Infection control training. The employee must follow all Trust policies, procedures and guidelines relating to Infection Control.
