What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governing Body of Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Deputy Headteacher, with responsibility for a class, to work alongside the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be a committed and practising Catholic and an excellent, inspirational practitioner who leads by example. They will have an integral part in leading the vision, ethos and school policies to ensure effective teaching and successful learning.
We are looking for a leader who:
• Has a clear vision and understanding of Catholic education and a commitment to promote the Catholic ethos throughout the whole school community
• Is an experienced, well-qualified teacher who knows what excellent teaching looks like and how to develop it in others
• Is reflective and focused on all children, with high expectations of their learning and behaviour
• Will inspire, challenge and encourage staff to help us build on and continue to develop our vision for our school
• Will nurture a strong, caring ethos and is committed to continuing and developing the effective partnerships with the local parish, families, governors, community, Diocese and the Local Education Authority
• Is a leader with a proven track record of whole school impact.
• Is a current senior leader who has the skills, energy, drive and passion required to develop and secure the very best outcomes for all of our pupils
