Summary

Your new company
You'll be joining a global biopharmaceutical leader dedicated to transforming the lives of people living with severe neurological and immunological conditions. The organisation is recognised for its strong scientific culture, major investment in UK‑based R&D, and its commitment to developing innovative therapeutic platforms.

Your new role
This is initially a 12 month contract that may extend.
You will be working in a well-established and highly collaborative research team focused on developing antibody therapeutics and other large molecule drugs.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the design and engineering of multi-specific antibody formats from early concept through to experimental implementation.
  • Produce and characterise antibody candidates using molecular biology, expression systems, purification workflows and quality assessment techniques.
  • Perform analytical assays to evaluate antibody binding, structure, and functional activity.
  • Contribute to the development of new therapeutic ideas for large molecule / antibody drugs.
  • Execute lab‑based studies with precision, ensuring high‑quality data generation and documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across research functions to progress therapeutic programmes.
  • Communicate scientific findings clearly through reports, presentations and team discussions.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Practical experience in antibody engineering, production and analytical characterisation.
  • Strong molecular biology skills, including construct design and expression workflows.
  • Hands‑on experience in one or more of the following: cell‑based functional assays, binding assays, mass spectrometry, or structural protein analysis.
  • Excellent laboratory technique, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to team‑based research.
  • A science degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in a relevant biological discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to therapeutic innovation within an industrial research environment.

Please note - no visa sponsorship is available for this role. All candidates MUST already possess the right to work in the UK until at least the end of January 2027.

What you'll get in return
You'll get the chance to make an impact on the company's early portfolio and work within a highly collaborative team with plenty of opportunities to further develop your skills.
