Responsibilities will include:
- Design, plan and execute in vivo studies supporting target identification, validation and translational pharmacology.
- Apply strong hands‑on expertise in in vivo immunology models, ensuring appropriate model selection and scientific robustness.
- Generate, analyse and interpret high‑quality in vivo data aligned with project timelines and decision points.
- Support the establishment, optimisation and validation of in vivo models, including oversight of outsourced studies with CRO partners.
- Contribute scientific insight to project teams through data review, interpretation and critical evaluation.
- Ensure all studies are conducted in compliance with regulatory, ethical and animal welfare requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across disciplines to support discovery and early development objectives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to study summaries, reports and presentations.
All candidates must have the full right to work in the UK until at least March 2027 - no visa sponsorship is available.
What you'll need to succeed
- An MSc (PhD preferred) in Pharmacology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Biology or a related discipline (or equivalent experience), with relevant postdoctoral or industry experience.
- Holder of a Home Office Project Licence (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Strong hands‑on experience with in-vivo pharmacology and immunology models relevant to inflammatory and immune‑mediated diseases, preferably within a pharmaceutical, biotech or CRO environment, though people with academic experience as a post-doc will be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to design robust in-vivo experiments and interpret complex datasets.
- A pragmatic, delivery‑focused mindset with strong attention to scientific rigour and data quality.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Experience with in-vivo cell depletion models would be an advantage but is not required.
What you'll get in return
You'll have the chance to make a real impact on the company's preclinical development programmes, working in a high-performing and well-experienced team, as well as gaining significant exposure internally. You'll also receive a good hourly/daily rate.
