The Practice Model Officer will support the development, implementation, and embedding of Birmingham Children’s Trust’s “Connections Count” practice model, promoting trauma-informed and relationship-based practice across the organisation. The role sits within the Learning Academy and involves designing, delivering, and evaluating high-quality learning and development activities, including bespoke training, workshops, and reflective practice sessions.
The postholder will lead on specific workstreams, undertake learning needs analysis, and ensure learning interventions are evidence-based and aligned with best practice. They will work collaboratively with internal teams, partner agencies, and educational institutions to develop and deliver programmes that improve outcomes for children, young people, and families.
The role requires modelling trauma-informed and relational practice in all interactions, providing expert advice and appropriate challenge to colleagues and stakeholders, and ensuring lived experience is integrated into learning and development through co-production. The Practice Model Officer will also maintain effective systems for tracking learning outcomes, produce reports, and represent the Learning and Development Service at internal and external forums.
The post is subject to enhanced DBS clearance and requires a strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and compliance with data protection, legal, and ethical standards.
