Transform children's everyday lives - and grow your career with sjb medical
Bring your compassion, clinical expertise and creativity to a purpose-led role where your work empowers children and young people to participate, learn and thrive. This is a dynamic, clinic-based position within a supportive multidisciplinary setting (OT, Physio, SLT, Psychology). You'll shape meaningful goals with families, deliver Sensory Integration (SI)-informed interventions, and see the tangible impact of your practice every day - all while developing your skills, building confidence with formal assessments, and progressing your career in medical healthcare, a noble profession that makes a real difference.
About the role
As an Occupational Therapist, you'll deliver evidence-based paediatric OT for children aged 3-12 (up to 16) across modern sensory gyms. You'll typically see 5-6 children per day in 45‑minute sessions, designing home programmes/sensory diets, recommending equipment, and collaborating closely with families, schools and colleagues. You'll have flexibility to complete admin from home and benefit from structured onboarding, shadowing and regular supervision.
About you:
- Lead child- and family-centred interventions using a Sensory Integration treatment approach.
- Plan and deliver assessments (formal assessment experience welcomed) and create clear, outcomes-focused reports.
- Coach parents/carers and liaise with schools to generalise skills and support participation.
- Recommend and train in the safe use of therapy/everyday equipment to enhance function and independence.
- Document progress and evaluate outcomes to refine programmes and celebrate wins.
- Bring HCPC registration, min. 3 years' paediatric experience, clinical professionalism and a passion for working with children. (Right to work in the UK required; sponsorship unavailable.)
Your Benefits:
- Full training, structured induction and 1:1 supervision with senior therapists.
- Regular CPD opportunities (courses available after probation) and peer learning.
- Weekly staff meetings, supportive MDT culture and open clinical forums.
- Friendly social events that build connection and belonging.
- Access to well-equipped sensory spaces (swings, obstacle courses, sensory kits) that support playful, effective therapy.
- Clear pathways for growth as you broaden your assessment and intervention portfolio.
