The school

Our Nuneaton-based secondary school is a well-regarded hub for STEM education. With consistently strong results in Maths at GCSE and A-Level, we offer:

Training structure

4+1 Model: Train four days a week in school, with one day (Wednesdays) reserved for online PGCE study and professional development.

Sept–Dec: Observe lessons, team-teach with your mentor, build confidence
Jan–Mar: Lead planning and delivery of Maths lessons, develop assessment strategies
Apr–Jul: Teach independently, refine your classroom management, complete your PGCE + QTS

What you'll need

A degree in Maths or a related field (2:1 or higher preferred)
OR strong A-level Mathematics
Passion for Maths and education
Excellent communication and organisation skills
Commitment to learning and developing as a teacher
A driving licence is helpful but not essential – Burnley has strong transport links
