Summary
We are seeking an experienced, motivated and compassionate Ward Manager to provide strong clinical and operational leadership within a busy patient-facing environment. This key role involves leading the ward team to deliver high-quality, person-centred and recovery-focused care, while shaping a positive and effective ward culture.
The Ward Manager will be accountable for the day-to-day management of the ward, ensuring care is safe, effective and delivered in line with Trust policies, governance frameworks and the NMC Code. They will lead, manage and develop the nursing team, promoting evidence-based practice and ensuring robust systems for supervision, appraisal and professional development.
The post holder will promote effective multidisciplinary working, fostering strong communication across the MDT and wider Trust services to ensure seamless care pathways and continuity of care for service users.
A clear commitment to person-centred care is essential. The Ward Manager will be a visible and accessible leader, providing support and guidance to staff, and reassurance to patients, relatives and carers, while maintaining high professional standards at all times.
NB: This is a patient-facing role.
