About the Role
We are seeking a friendly, organised, and motivated School Administrative Assistant to join our welcoming primary school community. This role is central to the smooth day-to-day running of the school and plays an important part in supporting pupils, families, staff, and visitors.
Working closely with the Headteacher, senior leaders, and office team, the successful candidate will help ensure our school office is efficient, approachable, and child-centred.
Key Responsibilities
• Providing front-of-house support, welcoming parents, pupils, and visitors
• Managing telephone calls, emails, and general correspondence
• Maintaining pupil records and supporting data administration
• Assisting with financial administration, including orders, invoices, and petty cash
• Supporting attendance, admissions, and general office systems
• Using school management information systems accurately and confidentially
What We’re Looking For
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Experience in an administrative role (school experience desirable but not essential)
• A calm, professional, and approachable manner
• Confidence using IT systems and handling sensitive information
• A willingness to learn and develop new skills, particularly in finance and business administration
Training & Career Development
We actively encourage and support further training in business management and school operations. This role offers opportunities to develop skills in finance, leadership, and strategic administration, with access to relevant training and qualifications. For the right candidate, this could provide a pathway towards future roles such as School Business Manager or School Administrator, supported by mentoring and professional development.
Why Join Our School?
• A warm, supportive primary school environment
• A role that makes a real difference to children and families
• Opportunities for funded training and professional growth
• A collaborative team that values initiative and development
