Summary

Are you a QTS English Teacher seeking an engaging role in Preston? We are looking for an educator with the expertise to deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and GCSE, promoting high standards of literacy and critical analysis. If you are ready to make an immediate impact in a supportive school environment, we want to hear from you!

We are currently recruiting for ad-hoc supply positions offering daily cover at £120 - £140 per day. In these roles, work is provided for you-no planning is needed. You will simply deliver the work, maintain classroom standards, and mark before leaving. This is perfect for maintaining your classroom status without full teaching responsibilities. Alternatively, we have long-term roles paying £150 - £220 per day for those seeking maternity or contract cover. These involve full planning, preparation, and wider school responsibilities, offering a higher rate for your specialist expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons, ensuring all students are effectively supported.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress with clear feedback aligned to school standards.
  • Cultivate a dynamic classroom environment and maintain high standards of behavior and learning culture.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on lesson handovers, resources, and student updates.
  • Contribute positively to the school rhythm while adhering to all policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Full Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English.
  • Proven experience teaching English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE).
  • Strong adaptability to pick up existing schemes of work and build rapport quickly.
  • An inspiring classroom presence with excellent behavioural management skills.
  • A current Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
What We Offer
  • Competitive Pay: Weekly pay via PAYE ranging from £150 - £220 for long-term roles.
  • Flexibility: The opportunity to gain diverse experience in top-tier secondary settings.
  • Support: Work with the UK market leader, partnering with over 2,500 schools each week.
  • Rewards: Access to our £300 "Refer A Friend" scheme!
