Randstad Education is looking for a versatile and proactive School Caretaker to join a vibrant school community in Leeds. This is a vital role that keeps the school running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

The Role

As a School Caretaker, you are the backbone of the school's facilities team. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Health & Safety: Conducting regular checks on fire alarms, water temperatures (Legionella), and playground equipment.

  • Porterage: Moving furniture and taking deliveries across the site.

  • Grounds Upkeep: Ensuring the school grounds are tidy and free of litter or hazards.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following:

  • UK Experience: You must have previous experience in a caretaking or facilities maintenance role within a UK setting.

  • DBS Check: An active Enhanced DBS (preferably on the update service) is required due to working in a school environment.

  • Technical Skills: Basic plumbing, joinery, and general maintenance skills are highly desirable.

  • Local Knowledge: A good understanding of the Leeds area and the ability to commute reliably to the site.

Benefits
  • Stability: Long-term and permanent opportunities available.

  • Support: A dedicated Randstad consultant to guide you through the hiring process.
