An independent mixed veterinary practice in North Yorkshire is seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and progressive team. The Role – Small Animal Vet
• Part-time position – 30 hours per week
• 3–4 days per week with flexibility on how hours are taken
• Working hours: 8:30am–6:00pm, Monday to Friday
o Friday working is essential and will occasionally involve sole charge
• No out-of-hours work (NO OOH) – covered by the mixed vet rota
• Occasional Saturday morning cover required
This role would suit a confident vet looking for a steady-paced workload with time to deliver gold-standard care.

About the Team
The successful candidate will join a dedicated small animal department consisting of three permanent small-animal-only vets, working alongside the wider mixed team. Clinical support includes:
• An RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine
• A vet holding a PGCert in Small Animal Dentistry

• Experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with 4+ years’ UK experience
• Confident in routine surgeries and common emergency procedures
• Strong consulting and communication skills
• Comfortable providing leadership and helping to run a small team
• Enjoys mentoring and supporting less experienced colleagues
• A positive, flexible team player with a strong work ethic
