Summary
Personal Education: All staff are encouraged to learn from the extensive clinical education activities that take place in the Trust, and there are a number of weekly meetings that provide excellent educational opportunities. Administrative: Successful applicants will be expected to carry out all administrative tasks allocated to him/her by their clinical supervisor, including keeping of inpatient records, ordering investigations and receiving results. Research/Audit: The RVI Major Trauma Service has a quality assurance and education programme with consultant leads in both areas. The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop experience in these areas, working alongside and supporting established roles. There will be the opportunity to contribute to quality improvement projects as well as participation in audits. The medical education department has a strong reputation for excellent medical education and there are many ongoing projects. The high volume of educational activity performed in the Trust ensures there is a vast opportunity to instigate and perform research/audit projects. Such activity is encouraged and results presented at regional and national meetings.
