My clients are a very well-established manufacturing company based in Tameside. They supply products to over 100 countries worldwide with Head Offices in the UK, Ireland, Canada and Australia. We are now looking for them a Extrusion Setter/Operator, based at the site in Tameside
Salary upto £36.5K DOE
Nights 36 hours per week – 9pm-6am Mon to Thu
30 mins – paid break.
The primary roles are setting, running, and monitoring our PVC Extrusion Line for bespoke products.
The role will be varied, a ‘hands on’ approach implementing production programmes with agreed quality and speed parameters.
Programming the machines and feeding the tool through/putting the tool on, controlling the machines
Understanding dimensional checks and working to close tolerances is essential, recording quality results and visual inspection will be part of the day-to-day role, altering machine parameters, if necessary, with occasional die cleaning and tool changes.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role with 3 to 5 years processing experience, and knowledge of fault rectification within PVC Extrusion.
Applicants must be hard working in a fast-moving manufacturing environment and work well under pressure.
