Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (supernumerary) with on-floor duties covering leave/sickness and alternate weekend on-call
Salary: £22.50 per hour

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Deputy / Clinical Lead to provide exceptional clinical leadership and support to a care team. In this role, you will deputise for the Registered Manager when required, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care. You will maintain clinical standards, support staff development, and promote best practices across the team.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines management responsibilities with direct involvement in care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical leadership and support to the care team, ensuring high standards of care.
Deputise for the Registered Manager as required, supporting their decisions.
Oversee duty rotas to ensure safe staffing levels and the correct skill mix.
Maintain accurate and timely recording of care interventions using electronic care systems.
Lead monthly clinical governance reviews to promote continuous learning and quality improvement.
Ensure all care plans are person-centred, up-to-date, and evaluated regularly.
Safeguard the welfare of service users and ensure compliance with legislation including the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
Provide supervision, appraisals, and training to nursing and senior care staff.
Maintain professional registration and clinical skills through ongoing development and statutory training.

Proven experience in a clinical leadership or senior nursing role
Strong understanding of person-centred care and relevant legislation
Experience leading teams and managing rotas
