Summary

Sarum St Paul’s is a happy and industrious school. We are committed to developing every child’s full potential intellectually, physically, spiritually and socially and believe this is most successfully achieved when we work in partnership with pupils, parents, staff and governors. We are very proud of the children in our school and what they achieve. Each one of us at Sarum St Paul’s is on a learning journey to discovery and understanding. Our children reflect the ethos of our school – happy, confident, secure and determined to tackle the exciting challenges that our school offers.

The Governors seek to appoint a teaching assistant to work with a Year 3 pupil. The vacancy is a named pupil contract and this position is for five mornings per week.

The pupil is working in class. The role would be to become part of the Year 3 team, working with the named pupil and others in the class when the pupil is being supported by the class teacher or another adult. The pupil has gaps in their knowledge and skills in core subjects, making the Year 3 curriculum difficult for them to access. They also need significant support in staying on task.

We’d like a teaching assistant to join us who ………

Has experience of working with children with SEND needs as detailed above
Is calm and nurturing
Has good literacy & numeracy skills
Has high expectations of children & themselves
Is flexible, creative & enthusiastic
In return we offer………

A supportive and welcoming staff team
Commitment to professional development
A school where children ‘love to learn through building friendship and faith’
A school that offers “Outstanding” personal development (Ofsted Inspection December 2024)
A happy, caring Christian Ethos where everyone is valued (Excellent SIAMS Inspection March 2019)
