Are you a patient, resilient and passionate SEN professional looking to make a real difference in a primary setting? A welcoming primary school in Dudley is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team on a long-term basis.

You'll be working with pupils who have complex additional needs, including speech and language delay, sensory processing challenges and limited verbal communication. The school is looking for someone with the empathy, consistency and experience to build trust and support learning through tailored, nurturing approaches.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Providing tailored support to children with additional needs
- Use visual aids, PECS or Makaton to aid communication (experience preferred)
- Implement EHCP targets and work closely with the SENCo
- Help maintain a calm, structured and engaging environment
- Support learning across core subjects in partnership with the class teacher
- Use sensory strategies to support emotional regulation

What We're Looking For:
- A level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent within a related subject
- Experience supporting primary-aged pupils with complex SEND (e.g. ASD, speech & language needs, sensory processing)
- Knowledge of EHCPs and tailored intervention strategies
- Team player with strong communication skills
- PECS/Makaton knowledge is beneficial but not essential

Why Work with Long Term Futures?
- Long-term, stable work with the potential for a permanent role.
- No day-to-day supply - full-time consistency in one school.
- A dedicated consultant to support you throughout your placement.
- Trial days instead of formal interviews to ensure the right fit.
- Access to free CPD training, including Understanding Autism, Behaviour Management, and further professional development/refreshers.

Next Steps - Our 4-Step Process
- Apply - Submit your CV via the application page.
- Initial Call - Our team will discuss your experience and preferences.
- Trial Day - Experience the school before making a decision.
- Start Work - If the school is the right fit, you're ready to begin.

All applicants will need a valid DBS and two references to be considered for a trial day.
