Upper Horfield is a small school with a big heart. We are a vibrant and forward-thinking school. We have a highly skilled and passionate staff who are committed to providing the highest quality of education and care for our children.
We have a vacancy for a teaching assistant. We are inviting applications from candidates with experience in either reception, key stage 1 or key stage 2, or all of these. Their role will initially be to provide some 1:1 support for a delightful child with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in our year 5 class and also deliver interventions to small groups of children and support a class teacher.
We will offer you:• Enthusiastic and polite children who enjoy learning
• A supportive team of Teachers and Teaching Assistants
• A full time ( 30 hrs) on a fixed term contract (12 months) with INSET days
• Continued professional development
• Potential to increase working hours in our Breakfast Club or After School Club
The successful candidate will need to have minimum of 3 GCSE passes at Grade C (or equivalent) or above (including English and Maths), experience of working with or caring for children, have a wonderful ability to relate well to both children and adults.
