You didn’t study Psychology to sit on the sidelines.
You studied it because you care about how children learn, behave, and thrive.
You want a role where your curiosity, empathy, and analytical mind make a real, tangible difference.
A forward-thinking, inclusive London school is looking for a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their SEN team. This is your chance to work hands-on with students with EHCPs, gaining the kind of experience that will set you apart if your ambition is to become an Educational Psychologist, SALT, or SEN specialist.
The School:
Imagine a school where inclusion isn’t just a policy—it’s a culture. Students are challenged, supported, and celebrated for who they are. Staff work as a team to create real impact every day, and graduates like you are trusted to make a difference from day one.
The Role:
You’ll support students one-to-one and in small groups, helping them access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve their goals. You’ll observe, plan, and deliver interventions under the guidance of SENCOs and experienced teaching staff, gaining unparalleled insight into the world of SEN.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Supporting students with EHCPs and diverse additional needs
• Delivering small-group and 1:1 academic and social interventions
• Observing and recording progress to inform personalised strategies
• Collaborating closely with teachers, SENCOs, and specialist staff
• Helping students build independence, resilience, and confidence
Who This Role Is For:
• Psychology graduate (or related degree)
• Curious, patient, and empathetic with strong communication skills
• Passionate about SEN, child development, and education
• Ambitious for a career in Educational Psychology, SALT, or SEN leadership
Why This Role Stands Out:
• Direct, hands-on experience supporting SEN students
• Insight into EHCP implementation and personalised learning
• Ideal stepping stone into top-tier postgraduate routes or teacher training
• Be part of a school culture that values your skills and ideas
