IntroductionAcorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Willand, who are looking to add a skilled Maintenance Engineer to their on-site engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent, days-based role with consistent working hours and excellent overtime rates in a stable manufacturing environment.
Key Duties:-
Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on factory equipment, including conveyors, fans, bearings, chains, and sprockets.

Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently to minimise downtime.

Perform repairs and parts replacements as required.

Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.

Provide occasional training and support to other team members.

Minimum 3 years' experience in a mechanical maintenance or engineering role.

Strong hands-on mechanical skills, ideally within a medium to heavy industrial environment.

Experience working with conveyors and moving machinery components.

Mechanical engineering qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
