Crynodeb
St Edmund's Catholic Primary School are seeking a skilled, experienced person who can take on the role of higher-level teaching assistant working across the primary age range.
The role involves providing support to pupils with additional needs in class, small groups and 1:1. This support will enable pupils to be successful in their learning and help them to manage their emotional well-being and self-regulation.
We are looking for someone who can deliver bespoke programmes for pupils based on their individual needs and is familiar with emotional literacy programmes like THRIVE, Drawing and Talking Therapy, and Milo and Hamish.
The role will also include some teaching of classes under the direction of the class teacher. The HLTA will be expected to plan and deliver lessons confidently to the class supported by schemes of work and digital resources.
Staff are well supported through professional development; well-being schemes which includes access to professional support from nurses, councillors and expert legal and financial advice; and a strong team ethos of collaboration.
The Federation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and requires all staff and volunteers to demonstrate this commitment in every aspect of their work. The successful candidate will need to undertake an enhanced DBS check, medical checks and satisfactory references.
