As a Receptionist in our Bletchley team, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience at our Leisure Centre. You will be responsible for welcoming visitors, managing front-of-house operations, and providing accurate information on our facilities, services, and memberships. This role requires a friendly, professional, and customer-focused approach, as you will be the first point of contact for members, guests, and stakeholders, ensuring every interaction reflects the high standards of Serco.
What you’ll do as a Receptionist
- Welcoming customers and acting as the primary point of contact at reception
- Providing accurate information about the facility, services, and memberships
- Handling customer enquiries in person, via telephone, and by email
- Processing payments, handling cash, and maintaining customer records
- Supporting colleagues across the centre as required
- Contributing to a safe, professional, and enjoyable environment for customers and staff
Does this sound like you?
- Have previous experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within a busy environment
- Demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills
- Remain calm, professional, and confident under pressure
- Are comfortable handling cash and using IT systems
- Have a polite and confident telephone manner
- Hold relevant customer service qualifications (desirable but not essential)
Sales experience would be advantageous.

As well as checking eligibility to work in the UK, you will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to help us identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
