An established, 100% independent, family-owned veterinary practice is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join its close-knit team in Oldham, Greater Manchester.
With over 30 years of history, this well-respected small animal practice has built a loyal client base and prides itself on providing continuity of care, allowing vets to manage cases from start to finish. Patients and owners benefit from seeing the same vet throughout treatment, while clinicians enjoy genuine job satisfaction and clinical autonomy.
The practice is friendly, supportive, and well equipped, offering a varied caseload with a healthy mix of consults and surgical procedures. There are no corporate targets or restrictions, giving vets true clinical freedom and the opportunity to practice medicine their way.
The Practice
• 3-vet small animal team (one vet currently studying towards an AVP certificate)
• Supportive and experienced nursing and support staff
• Modern facilities including:
o Digital X-ray
o Dental X-ray
o Ultrasound
o In-house laboratory
• Excellent case continuity and a strong local reputation
This role would suit a confident Veterinary Surgeon with some post-graduate experience who is comfortable working independently and keen to “hit the ground running.” No hand-holding required.
Location – Oldham, Greater Manchester

Rota & Working Pattern
• Full-time or part-time options available
• No out-of-hours (covered by Vets Now)
• No weekend work
• Shifts: 9:00am – 6:00pm
• Alternating surgical days:
o 2 surgical days one week
o 3 surgical days the following week
Salary & Benefits
• Salary up to £60,000 DOE (pro rata)
